Aloha,
I’ve been involved in art for as long as I can remember. Currently, I’m a Middle School art teacher by profession and that’s a career I’ve known I wanted to pursue since the late days of my own high school education. I feel very fortunate to be able to teach my love, “art”, in my home, Hawai‘i, as well as for my alma mater, Kamehameha Schools. I have degrees in art, art education, and Masters in education and hold a National Board Certification EAYA in Art. I am the current President and webmaster for the Hawaii Art Education Association.
My course load includes students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade visual studies. I love the opportunity to get new students excited about art, especially students that might not have otherwise been interested in my passion. I truly love when students find their voice and are able to dialog about their views through their art.
