In class, on the first day, use the first 25 minutes to work out your plans for the quarter in your sketchbook journal. Use samples of materials in your plans to be very clear about what you want to create. When I get back, we will cover your rubrics on how you want to be assessed on your work. Be mindful of things like craftsmanship, planning, creativity, and Aesthetic. Think of things that you can focus on for each of the 4 topics in your personal piece. For the rest of the week finish up glazing and then wipe the bottoms of your pieces before placing on the kiln carts. Once you are pau with your glazing then begin work on your project for the quarter. Remember to put glazes back where you got them... they are organized in numerological order and the tags match where they go on the shelves. Clean up after yourselves and put all tools and materials away. Make the most of this week to start on your physical clay work! We will work on video work next week so no computer time this week in studio. In Studio...This week as you prepare for the 4th quarter, consider what is your strength in the mud room. Plan to conference with me about your plans to create and finish that one personal piece.
Your goals for the quarter: Personal piece with rubric Structure decoration and interior design completion 3 minute Video "All About Me" Remember this is the shortest quarter of the year... please plan accordingly. I want you to take a break and so there is no homework, HOWEVER... if you see things that you can use in your goals this quarter, document, bookmark, or file away so you have them for when you return. Have a wonderful break and stay safe.
